President Muhammadu Buhari hosted ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo at the presidential villa on Friday, June 3. Though, details of the meeting has not been disclosed, it is speculated that it may not be unconnected the resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta. Oil facilities in the Niger Delta region are being blown up almost daily by the Niger Delta Avengers and the many are yet to understand what their grievance is. Juliana Okon lists four reasons why Obasanjo may have visited Buhari at the presidential villa.
